Lachlan ' s Legacy is a group of people who have lost their children at birth, just prior to birth, just after birth or are close to someone who has had to travel this road. It is our hope that through our experiences, we can provide resources to parents, to help them create memories of their children ' s lives. By providing memory boxes for parents at the hospital, we enable them to create cherished photos, keepsakes and memories that they may not otherwise have.
This charity is unique. It allows our children, gone too soon, to make an impact on the lives of others, just as they did in our own lives. In making a donation in a child's name, we include a card with the memory box, acknowledging the donation made in your child ' s memory. It is our hope that in doing this, the difficult road of losing a child is slightly more bearable because of the memories parents are able to create and cherish.
Each hospital donation includes hand and footprint kits, stationery for vital statisticsand footprints, a velvet and satin blanket, disposable cameras, an angel ornament, a selection of poems, and information about Lachlan ' s Legacy with a card honoring the donation made in a special child ' s memory. Donations ensure that parents have these resources to make their memories.Thank you for your help and support.
Please indicate the amount you would like to donate and if donating in memory of a child, please include their name as well as your own. We estimate the cost of each memory box to be $50-$60. All proceeds go to creating these memory boxes. We appreciate any donation you are able to make.
